Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum is much more known as "The Valley of the Moon" because it is said that it is the place in the Earth which is most similar to the surface of the Moon from a geographic perspective view. You probably know it if you saw a famous movie called "Lawrence of Arabia".  What impresses one most of the valley is the typical landscape of wine-red sand so it is also called "The Rose of Desert". Wadi Rum Protected Area is a mixed natural and cultural heritage site inscribed in 2011. Many thanks to my friend Omar who sent it from Irbid central post office!
