Historic Areas of Istanbul

The Historic Areas of Istanbul  were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. It includes many locations, for example, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (famous “Blue Mosque”) as you can see on the first postcard and the Topkapı Palace which is depicted on the second card (its ceremonial gate). Thank you so much my Monique from Turkey, for these gorgeous postcards and special stamps, much appreciated! The second card also shows some traditional Turkish things, such as the Kaşıkçı diamond, “Mehter” Turkish ancient Military Musicians and the Topkapi Dagger.
