My first stamped and written postcard sent from the Kingdom of Swaziland. Thank you so much Selby! This is a small but beautiful landlocked country in southern Africa, bordered to the north, south and west by South Africa, and to the east by Mozambique. The postcard shows the “Big Five” which refers to the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and Cape buffalo in Africa. About the “Big Five”, please click here.
It is also interesting to see the first time stamps from Swaziland. What impresses me most is the portrait of the King Mswati III on the top left corner of each one, which states the power of the monarchy. The Airmail Label used by Swaziland Post is special too.
