Skyline of Doha

Doha is the capital and the largest city of the state of Qatar. With over 60% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, it is also the economic centre of the country. 

Many thanks to my friend Ivy for sending me this nice postcard shows the city’s skyline. It is a view during dusk seen from the Doha Corniche, a waterfront promenade extending for several kilometers along the Doha Bay. Today the Corniche is a popular location among walkers, bikers and joggers.
The stamp on the postcard was jointly issued with Morocco in 2012 of the topic “Falcon”. A strong falcon is flying in the sky over desert. .Two National flags are depicted vividly in the background... really good design!
